7 HIGH – LOW GREEN BEAUTY SKINCARE PRODUCTS
Skincare can be a total minefield. There are so many different brands, unique products, and all kinds of ingredients, making it difficult to determine which products are going to be the best for you. When you add in price, it gets more complicated, as there are serums that cost hundreds of dollars, and cleansers that are less than ten.
Today I want to share some of my favourite higher end and budget products for your skincare routine. This will help you look at the areas of your skincare routine that are worth splurging on and which areas you can save a few dollars.
Brighten Pineapple + Gemstone Mask // Herbivore Botanicals ($48.00 USD)
Herbivore Botanicals has been a long time favourite for incredible, quality face masks. Made with clays, oils, and botanical extracts, their masks are sure to help soothe and clarify your skin.
This is one of my favourite ones, as it's got a super brightening effect as it exfoliates and removes dead skin cells. It's like a scrub and mask all in one.
French Green Clay // Mountain Rose Herbs ($11.00 USD for 1 Pound)
Green clay is one of the most versatile clays. It works so well on all skin types. I've used it during periods of oily skin and dry skin, and it always manages to calm redness, clarify, and heal. It's also very affordable, so you can use it in baths and as a body mask.
Facial Cleansing Oil // Leaves of Trees ($40.00 CAD)
Leaves of Trees specializes in luxury products made with argan oil. This luxurious cleansing oil easily removes makeup and dirt, cleanses, and hydrates. Made with argan, castor, and rosehip oils, and lavender and blue tansy essential oils, it's a comforting, hydrating cleanser that is a dream to use.
Facial Cleansing Creme // Acure Organics ($9.99 USD)
If you want that same, luxurious feeling but without the price tag, this cleanser is the way to go. It's going to remove your makeup and cleanse your skin, and it won't leave it feeling stripped or dry. It's made with hydrating oils like argan, and it's got a refreshing mint scent.
Restore & Replenish Hydrating Mist // Sattva Pure ($28.00 CAD)
I'm obsessed with anything Sattva Pure, so I had to mention at least one of their skincare products. This toner is one of my all time favourites. It smells amazing, is very calming, soothing, and hydrating, and it leaves my skin feeling so nice and balanced. I'll be using this forever.
Blossom + Leaf Toning Refresher // Andalou Naturals ($12.95 USD)
This is one of the toners I recommend to everyone because it's an affordable, green beauty option that will last you forever and is very versatile as it can be used as a toner, mist throughout the day, and a makeup setting spray. It's hydrating, but not overly so, and it's light and great for even problem skin. I use this year round.
Ultra Hyaluronic Hydrating Serum // MyChelle ($44.95 USD)
I'm obsessed with anything that's got hyaluronic acid because it helps my skin stay hydrated, plump, and smooth. It even reduces wrinkles because of the water absorbing effects.
Willow Bark Pure Pore Serum // Andalou Naturals ($24.95 USD)
This serum is perfection. I do have problem skin, but acne products usually dry and irritate my skin. This one didn't at all, but it did really help to clarify and clear my skin, so it looked more bright and glowy.
Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil // Pai Skincare ($40.00 USD)
I've only recently gotten on this hype train and I'm so glad I have. I've used rosehip oil before but it was nothing like this. My dry skin usually requires a facial oil and heavy duty balm during the Winter, but this year I've gotten by with just this facial oil. How crazy is that? It's a lovely oil and I'll be keeping it in mind come next year too.
Argan Oil // Acure Organics ($12.99 USD)
The Acure Organics argan oil was the first ever facial oil that I tried, and it's the reason I'm still in love with oils today. This is a very budget friendly oil that's still high quality.
It's going to help hydrate and soothe your skin, reducing redness and irritation. It'll also help to reduce wrinkles, heal acne scars, and honestly I've found it to reduce acne in general, because my skin is hydrated and less irritated. It's a good one to keep around.
Pure Calm Nourishing Cream // Sattva Pure ($52.00 CAD)
This is my favourite moisturiser ever, hands down. I did mention I'm obsessed with Sattva Pure right? Right. It's the only cream that's ever been able to leave my sensitive, picky skin totally happy. It's calming and soothing, and my entire face is left feeling moisturised, not thirsty or weighed down. It's perfection.
As for a budget option, I really don't have one. I use face oils a lot because of how simple and how many benefits they have, so if you want a budget moisturizer I'd go back to the face oils above. Or, if you have any recommendations, let me know!
DIY Booster SPF 30 Facial Serum // Andalou Naturals ($19.95)
I'm not sure I'd say this is a higher end product, because it's still pretty reasonable, but honestly finding a good sun protection cream is difficult! This one is great, as it's a light cream that's very hydrating, works well under makeup, and protects your skin.
Sport Sunscreen Stick SPF 35 // Badger Balm ($9.99 USD)
I love this sunscreen so much. It's made with just a few, super natural ingredients that work to hydrate, soothe, and protect your skin. The stick packaging makes it easy to touch up your protection on the go, and it takes up very little space in your beauty cabinet.
